- We recommend cleaning after each use to keep your filters clear and functioning optimally.
- The filter assembly can be disassembled for a thorough clean. To do so, place the stacked filters in the palm of your hand. Use your other hand to hold the top cap of the plunger and rotate counterclockwise until the filters become loose and can be rotated off of the plunger pole.
- Parts are top rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, soak the filters in hot water with a mild detergent. A light brush over afterward, with a tool such as a toothbrush will help remove clogged coffee oils or remaining grounds. If a mild detergent is used, be sure to rinse filters thoroughly to avoid any residual detergent affecting the taste of your coffee.
- For stubborn coffee stains, smear a paste of baking soda and water and let sit for 10 minutes. Buff off with a clean dishcloth or soft brush and rinse.
- Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling.
- Reassemble the filters starting with the 3 hole cross filter, then 2 mesh filters, then spiral filter. Align the base of the plunger pole with the center of the stacked filters and rotate the top cap of the plunger clockwise to tighten. You can also rotate the filters to tighten.
